The Perquimans Soil and Water Conservation District helps make up the Albemarle Soil and Water Conservation District (Chowan, Perquimans, Pasquotank, Camden and Currituck Counties). The Albemarle SWCD is the only multi-county soil and water district in the state.

The Perquimans SWCD partners with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Albemarle Resource Conservation and Development Council (RC&D) to carry out natural resource conservation programs and projects throughout the county.

These programs are offered to everyone, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
